New Online Hub Launched To Support Market Repositioning

PRESS RELEASE: May 2021

A leading healthcare and wellbeing provider has unveiled a new website as part of its ongoing business transformation and repositioning strategy following a challenging yet successful year.

Transform Hospital Group (THG), which operates two hospitals – Burcot Hall in Birmingham and The Pines in Manchester – as well as a nationwide network of clinics, has created the new online hub specifically for stakeholders looking to work in collaboration with the healthcare provider, such as NHS Trusts, private independent and group providers of elective healthcare.

Since March 2020, Transform Hospital Group has overhauled its service offering entirely, transitioning from a business focused on self-pay cosmetic and bariatric elective surgery, to forming partnerships with the NHS to treat a variety of patients and alleviate pressure from the health service during COVID’s first peak in 2020.

As well as partnering with various NHS bodies at a regional and national level to treat over 2,500 patients, THG has also offered its facilities and workforce to a selection of private independent and group providers.

Many of these partnerships have continued into 2021 and are set to form a major part of the business’ long-term strategy for the future.

As a result of this pivot, and the ongoing partnerships with the public sector as well as other private providers, the team at THG felt it was prudent to create a dedicated website for stakeholders and those considering working in collaboration.

Tony Veverka, CEO of Transform Hospital Group, said: “Looking to the future, it is clear that the independent sector is ideally placed to play a vital role in supporting both the NHS’s recovery from the pandemic, and the overall delivery of healthcare going forward.

“Many private healthcare operators have been displaced over the course of the pandemic, and as a result, there is now a clear opportunity to provide them with a new home.

“Greater partnership working will benefit the country’s healthcare system as a whole, helping to drive innovation, efficiencies, and outstanding patient care.

"We have successfully provided services to partners such as utilisation of theatre and treatment suites, access to our nationwide network of outpatient clinics, as well as pre and post-operative care.

“We have shown that our organisation is optimally placed to play a central role in delivering this support in the regions where we operate, and our ambition now is to continue to nurture our relationships with a variety of new partners.

“The launch of this new dedicated website illustrates how important these ongoing partnerships are to us, and we hope to continue this journey, educating people about the type of care we can deliver and challenging perceptions of those who may view us as purely a cosmetic surgery provider.”

The website will allow stakeholders to explore THG's specialist expertise and examples of clinical excellence, as well as hosting information on the organisation’s existing partnerships with the NHS and other private providers.
